While the 19th century prose can be somewhat difficult to follow ant my normal reading pace, when I slow down a little, it is easy to take in. It is well laid out with concept summaries at the beginning and repetition of the key concepts over and over again (just like school) so you begin to grasp the concept while barely realizing it.

The book is factual and concise. If you want to learn about Masons and how they came to be, read this book before you spend money on others. I have a friend who is a Freemason. I never wanted to pry, but I was always curious. So, I found this book, and I'd venture to say that I probably know more about Freemasonry than he does.
